Portugal, Color, 134′, 1997
Following a performance of the Coram Populo mystery, which precedes August Strindberg’s Inferno, the director of the play (Jean de Dieu), comes across a look-alike of the actor who had incarnated the figure of God (Max Monteiro). The intruder claims his name is Henrique and presents himself as a retired sea-dog, just passing by before he goes on to fulfil his old dream, to see his childhood hero John Wayne swing his hips ever so gracefully on the North Pole.
